Today I thought to write and share my views that why I love sleeping so much and why it’s an important part of my life.
My friends and family who know me closely know that I can sacrifice anything for a good sleep and also that I can sleep anytime of the day. On the other hand, there are many people who can sleep soundly only at nights and only in their own beds.
Sound sleep is vital for the proper functioning of our cognitive abilities . It is primarily meant to relax and recharge our body muscles and brain for the physical, mental or emotional challenges of the next day.
It is a well known fact that our bodies have their own biological clocks set which makes us feel hungry or sleepy around the same time everyday. When we wake up in the morning, adenosine-an organic compound produced in our brain starts increasing gradually throughout the day. By the time of night, it’s levels reach its peak and we fall sleepy which leads to it breakdown. This cycle repeats everyday.
Sleep deprivation can lead to many health issues. Less serious problems can be mood swings, fatigue, loss of attention or focus. Whereas long term or serious effects can be high blood pressure, hormonal imbalances, obesity, other heart related problems etc.
So , in conclusion, good sleep is very important for our healthy lives and we should follow a daily routine which supports sound sleep.
